Yes, this blog post is entirely about the newest edition to the Ehsman household – Moby! He is cute, playful, super friendly, bold and boisterous. Needless to say, he’s definitely a handful and he keeps us on our toes 🙂
A Few Moby Facts:
- He is an English Cocker Spaniel
- He was born in April 2015
- He has one blue eye, one brown eye
- His fave toys are a towel and an empty water bottle
- He loves other people and other dogs
He sleeps a lot, so yes, there are a lot of photos of him sleeping. When he’s awake, he’s moving like a little jet engine so it’s hard to even get a photo of him.
We’ve had him for about 2 weeks now, and picked him up from an experienced and lovely breeder (named Elizabeth) down in Tacoma. He was small when we got him, but he’s growing bigger by the day.
Here he is wanting to get on the lounge:
Luckily, Seattle is a hugely dog friendly place – you can take your dog to work, take it to (certain) bars and cafes, take it on the bus even (though we haven’t tried that yet!).
Why did we name him Moby?
I don’t know. I think I was listening to a bit of Moby at the time, and thought ‘that’s a cool name for a dog.’ And then of course, there’s Moby Dick, one of the greatest novels of all time. Sometimes, we just call him Mobes.
Here’s a quick video of him playing with his chicken.
This is what he looked like at 4 weeks old. So cute. He’s the alpha male of his litter, so hopefully he’ll be quite a big cocker spaniel.
He loves to play, and also likes to jump on your lap for a bit of chew time or sleep time.
And don’t let the face fool you! He looks calm and well-behaved, a bit sad even, but trust us, he’s not! He’s a little monster. But we love him anyway!!
